John 19:38-40

^38 (A)After these things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but a ^(B)secret one for ^(C)fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took away His body. ^39 (D)Nicodemus, who had first come to Him by night, also came, ^(E)bringing a ^[a]mixture of ^(F)myrrh and aloes, about a ^(G)hundred ^[b]pounds weight. ⁴⁰ So they took the body of Jesus and ^(H)bound it in ^(I)linen wrappings with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews.
